Do I need a visa for the slow boat trip?

Yes. A visa-on-arrival is available for most nationalities at the Lao border. Our team will assist with the process.

What documents are required to cross the border?

A valid passport (with at least 6 months remaining) and cash for the Lao visa-on-arrival and documentation fee.

What time does the boat depart?

Around 08:00 AM from Huay Xai pier. Please be ready at least 30 minutes before departure.

Is lunch included on the boat?

Yes, a lunch box and drinking water are included.

🕗 08:00 AM – Boat Departs

🛶 The boat departs no later than 8:00 AM. Our slow boat accommodates up to 50 passengers, ensuring comfort and space.

🌊 Enjoy a scenic 7-hour journey along the Mekong River.
