This tour starts in Chiang Mai with a van transfer via Chiang Rai (with a stop at White Temple), then overnight in Huay Xai, and a slow boat journey on Day 2. 2 days and 1 night. Day 1: transfer and hotel stay. Day 2: boat ride to Luang Prabang. Transportation from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, White Temple stop, accommodation in Huay Xai, boat ticket, lunch, and Pak Ou Caves entrance. 🛏 One room is shared by 2 guests. If you’re booking as a pair, we will arrange for you to stay together. Yes. A lunch box and drinking water are included on the second day. 🍱 Our standard lunch does not contain peanuts. 🕘 09:00–09:30AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Chiang Mai city by air-conditioned van 🛕 En route stop at Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) 🚐 02.00 -02.30 PM Continue to Chiang Khong, drop-off at our office (500m before the border) 🕑 04.00 PM – arrival at our office near the Chiang Khong border, our team will assist you with visa documents and border preparation. 🛂 Travelers with eVisa are still required to pass immigration together as a group. A Laos tourist tax of approx. 70–100 THB applies. 🏨 🕑 05. 00 PM - entering Laos, our local team will transfer you to your hotel in Huay Xai, where you’ll stay overnight before the scenic boat journey the next day.
🕢 06.40-07.10 AM – Hotel pick-up and transfer to the boat pier. 🛥️ 08:00 AM – Board the slow boat to Luang Prabang and enjoy a peaceful 7-hour cruise. 🛕 Stop at Pak Ou Caves (approx. 40 minutes) – a sacred limestone cave filled with thousands of Buddha images. 🏁 By 05.00 -06.00 PM, arrive at Luang Prabang pier and enjoy a free transfer to your hotel , completing your Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang slow boat journey.
